How to Flash Any Samsung Phone Using Only Your Android Phone
With the Eros Engine APK, an OTG adapter and a USB cable you can flash most Samsung devices without a PC. This guide shows the full step-by-step process and includes safety notes and troubleshooting tips.
What you need
- An Android phone (this will run the Eros app and act as the flasher)
- The Samsung phone you want to flash
- OTG adapter + USB cable (good quality)
- Eros Engine APK (install on the flasher phone)
- Firmware for your Samsung model from samfw.com
Important safety notes
- Flashing may erase user data. Back up the phone before flashing.
- Always use the exact firmware for your model and region.
- Use a reliable OTG cable and a charged battery (50%+ recommended).
- Interrupting the flash can brick the device — do not disconnect cables during flashing.
Step-by-step flashing process
- Download the correct firmware (.tar.md5 or .tar) from samfw.com.
- Install the Eros Engine APK on your Android (the flasher). Allow unknown apps if needed.
- Put the target Samsung phone into Download Mode:
Common method: Power off → Hold Volume Down + Volume Up while connecting USB → Press Volume Up to confirm.
- Connect phones with OTG + USB cable (flasher phone as host).
- Open Eros Engine on the flasher phone and wait for it to detect the Samsung device.
- Load firmware files in the matching slots: BL, AP, CP, CSC. If you only have a single AP file, load it into AP.
- Tap Start (or equivalent) in the app and wait until completion.
- Phone will reboot automatically when flashing finishes.
Troubleshooting
- If the device is not detected: try another OTG cable or enable USB debugging (if possible).
- If flashing fails: re-download firmware and check model/region codes.
- Stuck at boot loop after flash: try factory reset in recovery (will erase data).
Quick checklist before flashing
- Correct firmware for model and CSC
- Battery charged (recommended ≥ 50%)
- Good-quality OTG and USB cable
- Backup of user data
